Marcela Camacho is the heart and founder of Cela's Little Angels Home Daycare. Her path into childcare began the way many life-changing things do — out of necessity and love. As a young mother navigating the demands of family life in Northern Virginia, she found herself searching for childcare that felt truly personal. Not just supervised time, but a place where children were genuinely known, spoken to, and cared for.
Unable to find exactly what she envisioned, she created it herself. She opened her home, cleared out the space, and began caring for a small group of neighborhood children. Word spread — not through advertising, but through the trust of one family telling another. Over the next two decades, her reputation grew alongside the children she helped raise. Many families came back year after year, enrolling younger siblings and recommending Marcela to friends and coworkers.
What sets Marcela apart isn't just her 21 years of hands-on experience — it's her warmth. She takes the time to learn each child's personality, their comforts and fears, their favorite books and songs. She communicates openly with parents, celebrates every milestone, and treats every child as if they were her own. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she creates a bilingual environment that reflects and honors the diverse families of Northern Virginia.
